Redesign: Mirrikh

Aaaahh, I've been wanted to draw so much lately, but everything keeps getting in the waaay.
And I should be studying for my history quiz, but I drew this instead OTL. I had to, I've been meaning to sketch this for months and I was afraid I was going to lose my inspiration for it.

Anyway, I said several months ago that I was going to completely redesign a few of my characters, and this is certainly one of them. He's supposed to be a griffin/dragon thing, but my ability to design creatures when I created him in middle school was... embarrassing. That was also when I was a weeaboo, so his name used to be Ryuutsume, meaning "dragon claw" in Japanese. Yes, laugh all you want. Oh heavens, does that say '08? Yikes OTL.

ANYWAY, his new name is Mirrikh which is Persian for "death, slaughter." He's rather an angry butt-face, so his name is probably more from reputation than anything. Also, great hornbills are awesome, and I rather think the cross suits him :>. Looks as hard-headed and stubborn as he is. I didn't want to completely abandon his original palette, but I wasn't going to make him as purple as before. He still has hints of purple, but I figured I have plenty of royal purple characters by now as it is :d.
Hah, after all these years I still can't draw raptor claws or bird talons. Typical.

Also note that the left wing is removed to better see the side view. I may or may not do a sketch ref for him, though I have some other characters whose designs need some attention. Though I should be giving them all refs, ugh. Some day.
